Using Intruder & Hold Up Alarm Systems in a building guarantees an effective person and property protection. System's main goal is to detect and signal the emergency at the object, caused by the intrusion and visualisation of emergency states at the object's terrain. It includes buildings where the I&HAS is needed to be used in case of a burglary and robbery. Properly configured InPro BMS system, together with the Intruder & Hold Up Alarm Systems greatly enhances the standards of security, increases employees' and guests' safety, and building's data processing.
InPro BMS is an information system for visualization, integration and safety management system, used to build alarm monitoring centres. The use of visualisation gives the opportunity to present, in a graphic and a textual way, the data taken from the Control and Indicating unit. For graphic visualisation of a system we use architectural plans of an object, where active elements are put in place of the real detectors. Specific I&HAS elements (motion detectors, reed sensors, panic buttons and all the elements designed to inform about the alarm or any other event – sirens – with optical and acoustical signalling) alarm whenever a safety zone is breached and inform about an alarm's occurrence by audio signals and by blinking active element placed at the object's plan. Element's colour informs about its state – no activity state, alarm, usual state, armed, sabotage, blockade.
In order to get the information and also to verify particular detector, from the visualisation against a control panel, a user has to select this active element to display its name and address. Aside the dynamic presentation of the intruder & hold up alarm systems' state, one of many possible mechanisms alarming about the danger is leading a user from the most generalised to the most detailed plan. Thanks to that, there is a possibility to immediately and unmistakably diagnose the place of an event's occurrence. When an alarm appears, the general view of an object will also be displayed. After clicking at the indicated place, the view with the endangered tier will be opened. When the right tier is chosen, the system indicates the room where safety was breached.
Textual presentation is solved by logging table. There are two types of events: events informing about system's state, and active events (alarms) which require confirmation from a user or knowing the code of practice and commenting an event. The actualisation of the event log runs on the current and does not require any action from a user. Everything a user does is being registered in order to closely recreate the course of danger, the swiftness of its elimination and the matching with the procedures that has been set earlier. The detector will not stop blinking until a control panel sends the information about changing detector's state to usual. The appearance of an alarm will be recorded in the event log.
- Event log contains such information as:
- the date/time of an appearance,
- the name and the localisation of the detector,
- detailed description of a danger.
Different colours can be assigned to the different event types. The administrator defines it on his own terms.
The well-developed strcture of InPro BMS allows to support multiple monitors. The view on the specific monitor is being displayed discretely.
Thus, one monitor can display incoming events from the integrated systems and the other monitors can show graphic panels of particular objects. In a situation when a danger happens, in more than one place at the same time, an operator who sees all the incoming events can specify which ones are the most dangerous and threatening to the object's safety – even though he will be looking at graphic panels from a different part of an object. Besides all the above-mentioned features, the system is able to automatically send information via radio or telephonic way to the police or other security department.
